Top Billing tours a Wanda Michelle Interiors- designed Hyde Park masterpiece
Wanda Michelle Hadlow’s interest was in décor – until she built her first house. She went on to renovate a friend’s home, start an interiors company, and today, a fully fledged design agency.

Reimagining every aspect of this Hyde Park address was her latest project, and the result is phenomenal.

The brief allowed for an edgy, flamboyant style and Wanda and her team have transformed spaces with beautiful custom-made bespoke pieces. From incorporating more “cosy spaces” with structural changes to including black and gold touches for drama, she knew exactly what each room needed.

The home’s art is a definite talking point, and Wanda curated the collection with incredible local art to reflect client’s personality. Stand-out pieces include five commissioned sculptures by Cecelia Wilmot Ballam, which bring a living, moving character to the home.
Cecilia was inspired by using a strong medium to show the balance between strength and soul, which can be seen in the brass diving sculpture above the pool that looks almost fluid.

If the sculptures embody the spirit of the place, one room best reflects the owner, the master suite.
Described by Wanda as a “strong space” it’s also one of her favourite rooms, and incorporates opulent textures and pieces.

While expansive, the master bathroom is simple, a space to steam in hot water and reflect.

As for the rest of the house, there’s little to be wanted. Talking points include a lift that takes you down to a luxurious bar and cinema area along with a 300 square metre parking garage, and a stunning alfresco area next to the pool.

Even in winter, from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, this deck offers uninterrupted hours of sunshine.
With this project, Wanda and her team have proved that it is possible to escape the city, without even leaving it!
