Celebrating All Things Indian
In celebration of 150 years of Indian culture in South Africa Top Billing's Dhiveja took some time out to go shopping for beautiful saris to celebrate the Eastern Friday Campaign. The campaign is a call to all South Africans to wear an eastern garment on a Friday and aims to create comradeship, awareness and unity in commemorating and celebrating the arrival of the Indian Indentured Labourers in this country.
Dressed in her beautiful sari Dhiveja attended the fabulous premier of the feature movie 'White Gold'. This great local feature tells the story of a young Indian boy and his three young friends who are forced to leave their rural village in South India in search of a better life in South Africa and honours the arrival of Indians in South Africa 150 years ago.
White Gold will be released on Nov. 26th Friday, in Johannesburg, Cape Town, East London and Port Elizabeth at various Ster Kinekor theatres.
This is certainly not a movie to be missed …
