Even the biggest TV stars rate themselves by how good they are on stage, and if asked by Janice Honeyman to be in her Christmas panto of Sleeping Beauty, you know you’ve arrived.
Theatre producer Bernard Jay is proud to announce his 15th collaboration with acclaimed writer and director Janice Honeyman – and this was one production that Tobie Cronje, Michelle Botha and our own Chris Jaftha couldn't say no to.
The evergreen tale of the beautiful princess who is cursed at her christening by the wicked fairy will be the first time the panto has been staged at Joburg Theatre since 2002, and this week we catch up with the stars, cast and crew of the show to find out about their love for the stage and pantomime, and what it takes to bring this magical story to life.
Join all the zany pantomime characters, including Chris himself, as they battle with dragons and time machines to ensure that the prince is ready to wake the sleeping princess on time.
Don't miss the colourful and crazy production on Top Billing this Thursday at 7:30pm on SABC3.
