When Top Billing's presenter Simba was invited to join South African bowler Dale Steyn and his gorgeous girlfriend, Jeanne, he thought that he would be spending his time relaxing on the beach. Little did he know that his relaxation time would be taken up by some competitive beach cricket, an underwater walk, paragliding and serious sushi making.
About Dale Steyn: He may be easy-going and unassuming in person, but Dale Steyn couldn’t be more different on the cricket pitch. As the world’s number one Test bowler, Dale is known as much for his hard-wired competitiveness as he is for his devastating speed. A right-arm swing bowler, Dale bowls at speeds in excess of 150 kilometres per hour. His fastest known speed to date is 156.2 kilometres per hour which was recorded during the 2010 Indian Premier League match between the Bangalore Royal Challengers and the Kolkata Knight Riders.
About Long Beach: Long Beach is a major new resort opening on the east coast of Mauritius in 2011. It brings carefree piazza-style living to the longest and widest stretch of white-sand coastline of any Mauritian resort. Beyond the beach, the tropical lagoon with its crystal clear blue waters and rare coral formations is a snorkelling paradise. The focus of the resort’s layout and its life is the urban-style piazza with restaurants, shops and bars. Architecture brings tropical interpretations to contemporary urban themes, softened by natural forms, local detailing and materials. Buildings integrate with the resorts extensive lush tropical gardens. A unique architectural feature is the adjustable “wind breaks” that modulate the offshore breezes.
