Designer Paledi Segapo showcases his latest collection
For designer Paledi Segapo the golf course is the final frontier for new adventures in fashion!
One man who knows that liberty is only as good as what you do with it, is designer Paledi Segapo and at SA Fashion Week, he felt free to totally reimagine the golf shirt.
Paledi designs with the confidence of a man who’s done it all his life but he only came to fashion late. After graduating with his Masters in business leadership and consulting to the industry on the business side of their brands, he tried his hand at fashion and has gone on to win African Designer of The Year.
Paledi’s inspirations are wide-ranging. He has expressed them in magazine and newspaper columns and always with the flair you find in his fashion.
It took business savvy to recognize that one of the biggest unofficial catwalks in South Africa are our greens and fairways.
For the old school traditionalists, the collection offers classic tartan in honour of the game’s Scottish heritage, balanced with an 80’s Miami Vice audacity in pastel colours.
Let’s face it, golf shirts needed a shakeup and Paledi Segapo was just the man for the job.
