Interestingly, after years under the radar - Tartan has featured as a sub-trend for winter this year. Unless you're a teenager, don't opt for a short pleated skirt - rather wear a tartan jacket which you can tone down with a plainer outfit; in tones of navy, grey or tan. A subtle accessory can also go a long way, providing just a trendy-touch here and there - you'll find tartan lining is very popular this season. Never wear tartan in combination with another print; you'll end up looking far too 'busy' - keep it minimal; chunky knits are a great texture to pair with this vivid check, so layer up.
