Kylie Jenner's Hollywood Hills home will make you jealous
Make up mogul and reality TV star Kylie Jenner recently let the public get a glimpse of her stunning Hollywood Hills home in Architectural Digest, and it did not disappoint!
The youngest member of the Jenner/Kardashian family has had an extremely busy and successful few years, with her cosmetics company valued at roughly 800 million dollars, and Forbes magazine speculating that she will soon be the youngest self-made billionaire in history.
Since turning 18 the star has already built up an impressive property portfolio, and it’s no surprise that her main home is architecturally and decoratively impressive.
Designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, an elite Los Angeles based designer, the house has a stunning youthful feel to it with plenty of colour, particularly Jenner’s favourite- pink.
According to Bullard, the glam look is a result of years of work and planning, and the young business woman had a strong idea of what she wanted from the start.
While the house has a beautiful funky interior, it was also designed to be practical and functional for Jenner and her young family after she learned that she was pregnant halfway through the design process.
That doesn’t mean the house isn’t up to the usual Kardashian/ Jenner glam standard though, and there is no shortage of noteworthy features, including the white grand piano in the Hollywood-themed living room and the gold-leafed ceiling in the dining room.
In the lavish family room one can take a swing on a hammock suspended from the ceiling while enjoying treats from custom cocktail tables that have space for ice, champagne and caviar.
If the mogul wants to have guests over she has no shortage of fun activities on offer and her bar/lounge area alone has a billiard table and arcade games.
If there is one room that has to be defined as “goals” it would be the mogul’s stunning glam room. The pink paradise features vanity lighting, a stunning rosy countertop, leather salon chairs and portraits of Barbie and Marilyn Monroe, along with Jenner’s out of this world makeup and fashion collections.
As for art the young star already has an impressive collection that shows off her feminine taste. The pieces include Andy Warhol dollar-sign lithographs and prints of Marilyn Monroe (whom Jenner loves), dramatic portraits of the homeowner and her family, Damien Hirst “I Love You” butterfly silk screens, a Tracey Emin neon sculpture that reads “I Can’t Believe How Much You Love Me”, a Saint Laurent limited-edition surfboard, and beautiful black-and-white photographs of Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy.
Some of the more thoughtful and intricate features are tributes to Kylie Cosmetics, the star’s fast growing make up empire. These include the leather upholstery in the dining room which was custom-dyed to match shades from her impressive lipstick collection, while in the living room drip-shaped gold consoles mimic the design on Kylie Cosmetics packaging.
