Leighton Clapton transforms compact spaces into smart design

 Space comes at a premium in Sea Point. So, it requires a particularly smart brand of design to take what was originally a one bedroomed studio flat and turn it into a holiday apartment which comfortably sleeps four and maximizes the view.

Helping to break up the space are three different elevations from the dining level in wood to the re-purposed stone at counter height and the suspended lights at eye level.

Colours used in the broader décor are brought together in the geometric carpet and positioning the couch against the sliding door duplicates the space as part of the indoors and outdoors.

The client wanted this neat lock up and go to also have the spoiling feel of a luxury hotel, whichever of the two bedrooms you’re in.

The master bedroom incorporates the bathroom and a generous shower into one, open space.  
This smart use of interior room is accentuated by a deep balcony to which a timber decked jacuzzi is soon to be added. Turning a one-bed studio into a spacious party pad with a magnificent view.
