Lejeanne Marais and Bryce Hennessy glide into matrimony with Top Billing
If anyone understands the value of the ideal partner, it’s champion figure skater Lejeanne Marais and the only man for her, Bryce Hennessy.
Having met at a mutual friend's eighteen birthday, their relationship has blossomed into a bond that is rock solid. For over a decade, Bryce has watched Lejeanne become a six time and current South African National figure skating Champion, and compete internationally at four world championships, all with his own triathlon sports career running in parallel. Alongside her figure-skating, Lejeanne is also now in her fourth year of an architecture degree.
The strength of their bond has been tested over the years as Lejeanne has had leave to compete overseas for three months at a time, but somehow there was never a doubt that one day they'd be wed. After having to cancel twice due to bad weather, the proposal went off seamlessly as Bryce proposed in a hot air balloon over Hartebeespoort dam.
Attending a party at the rooftop venue four years ago, the couple knew that this is where they would be married. With guests requested to dress in black, and the theme was the exact opposite.
Creating their own tradition, the couple wrote each letters and enclosed them in a box with a bottle of their favourite red to be opened in ten years’ time.
