Local sculptor Andile Dyalvane shines in New York
We head to New York where ceramic sculptor Andile Dyalvane has his first international solo exhibition.
Word is out amongst New York’s art community that the Friedman Benda Gallery is hosting Andile’s work. With his pieces fetching $20 000 on auction at Christie’s in London, excitement is in the air.

The name of this collection, Camagu is Xhosa for ‘I am grateful’ - an expression of thanks to Andile’s ancestors. That said, every day he makes all he can of his talent. This opening comes after artistic residencies in Europe and Taiwan in which Andile has fulfilled and surpassed all that Trevyn McGowan sees in him.

Still in his thirties, Andile’s achieved what many of the artists he looks up to spent a lifetime pursuing - and we’re proud to bring you each milestone along the way.
