St. Lucia’s Mala Bryan makes the headlines whatever she’s doing. A queen of the catwalk and the creative force behind a hit range of young girls’ dolls, most recently she opened a Creole dining restaurant, bringing the best of Caribbean island cooking back to Africa.
Mala launched her range of representative girls’ dolls in 2015. It was modelling which brought her here but an entrepreneurial and socially-minded nature which saw her setting up this enterprise. One which we’re happy to report - is flourishing.
Mala designs and makes the dolls’ outfits as well as her own Sheer collection of women’s wear.
After Mala made her first trip here to work on her modelling portfolio, it proved such a success that she’s returned to South Africa almost every season, for twelve years.
She believes in this second home so much that she’s invested in opening an Afro-Caribbean eatery at Botanik Social House, opposite the Company Gardens.
If there’s a recipe for squeezing every, precious drop you can out of life - Mala has found it!
