The prestigious annual Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was back with a bang this year, as we went behind the scenes to get a feel of the action.
Working out in preparation for the big event, Stevel Marc and Sean McCollet revealed that being an international model also requires hard work and dedication. One of the challenges a model has to face is to maintain their good looks, and a healthy lifestyle is what gives these guys the edge in a competitive industry. With modelling contracts afar a field as London and New York, both Stevel and Sean have worked with some of the biggest designer labels in the fashion world.
Renowned for his bold and unpredictable designs, David Tlale is also the only South African based designer to showcase at the Joburg fashion week for six seasons in a row.
Dubbed as a highlight on the city’s annual fashion calendar, the fashion week aims to bring together both established and young designers to display their latest collections.
As the last minute preparations are underway, the excitement and tension builds before the models will take to the runway to share this year’s fashion offering.
As the models take to the runway the stress of planning and preparation for the show dissipates into a burst of colour but we know those glorious few seconds on the runway is the result of a lot of sweat and plenty of style.
