Durban hosts an unforgettable Mrs. Universe as the finalists dazzle in proudly African swimwear.
Casting a global spotlight on Durban the annual Mrs Universe Pageant invites married contestants between the ages of 24 and 45 from over 80 different countries to take part in the event.
Thrilled to represent South Africa at the pageant was Durban’s home grown beauty, Mrs Trisha Poona. Part of the criteria for participating, is that each contestant also highlights real concerns within their own communities through charities and global trade opportunities.
In step with this year’s theme - ‘Empowering Women and Creating Change’ – each of the gorgeous contestants seized the opportunity to share their country’s unique culture in an extravaganza of colour and diversity.
With every contestant a worthy winner, Mrs Gabon and Mrs Pakistan stepped forward as first and second runners up, as the big moment arrived to crown Mrs Universe 2017 and it was Mrs Vietnam, Tram Hoang Luu, was this year’s big winner.
