Producers, Bassie & Patience let us in on their special friendship
Ever since Top Billing Executive Producer Patience Stevens met then Ms. South Africa Basetsana Makgalemele in 1992 they have clicked.
From colleagues they became business partners, launching Tswelopele Productions, creating further tv shows and always remaining firm friends.
If Bassie rose to become President of the Business Women’s Association of South Africa then her mother and teacher Beatrice Makgalemele was her inspiration.
Among the disciplines which Beatrice imparted to her daughter has been an ability to observe and learn on the fly. On Top Billing, you must cover travel, culture, architecture, design and cuisine as if each is a special interest of yours. With Bassie presenting and Patience producing, they had a hit formula.
As long as Top Billing can keep those ideas and dreams alive in you, our viewers - we can think of nothing else we’d rather be doing.
