From Bonang Matheba as host to DJ Black Coffee making history.
The world's most-watched awards show, the BET's are a very big deal and this year some of South Africa's shining lights are in the running for an award. Held in Los Angeles, the 2016 BET Awards were about celebrating broad success in black entertainment, whether in music, sports, television or film. Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar were performing and hosting the [Global Glitz & Glam stage for the] awards' red carpet was none other than Bonang Matheba.
It was a phenomenal experience for Bonang and the South African talent was representing in all aspects! David Tlale stole the show with his South African fashion, soap star Mampho Brescia certainly turned heads and Nandi Mngoma was going monochrome. Man of the moment, DJ Black Coffee was there with his actress wife Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa.
