Tasting the trend of coffee in a cone

We investigate the new foodie trend of coffee in an ice cream cone.

A cafe serving macchiato coffee in ice-cream cones is part of a wave of unusual new eateries around Joburg. When Dayne Levinrad followed his nose into the coffee industry, it led to this, his Grind Coffee Company and what the U.K.s Daily Mail dubbed the 'most Instagrammed coffee ever'.

Steve Stenfelz understands how phenomenal this innovation and its social media success are. What began with an oh-so edible way to sip on your macchiato turned into this ground-breaking coffee house designed by architect Ben Dos Reis. Whilst consulting for an Australian company in Brasil, Dayne Levinrad was in search of new, unique products to get people through the door.

He paired two very more-ish products together and coffeeinacone was born. Dayne employed someone to man a WhatsApp line for take out orders. He built a creative marketing system via Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and the globe suddenly woke up to coffeeinacone.
