This week on Top Billing, we come to you from a home where modern African architecture meets French styling. What might have clashed or required compromise was instead seen as a chance to create a stunning, new fusion of design.
A key word for this home is authenticity, as reflected by its relaxed and natural atmosphere thanks to elements of wood, metal, grasslands and a little crystal for a hint of glamour. A natural palate also prevails with hints of blue and black to keep it modern.
This summer home is perfect for entertaining, with understated architecture that opens up into a lovely courtyard where the family spends most of their time. The house also plays around with volume, with the architect developing little pockets of living space within the two living wings - all this surrounded by expansive Highveld views.
