Top Billing celebrates Mathabo Kunene’s birthday
We celebrate Mathabo Kunene’s birthday and with it, everything she’s done for this country.
The aim of her birthday event was for Mrs. Kunene to use her birthday to recognise the work of her late husband, African poet laureate Professor Mazisi Kunene, and his legacy through the Mazisi Kunene Foundation. Together they fought for our rights in exile and continued to do so through their foundation here in South Africa.
CEO’s mixed with orchestra directors, retired judge presidents - in short – no one was going to miss this. The invitations said whimsical hats and summer suits and with a hundred and ten guests, the party was awash in colourful personalities. The Kunene Foundation has a big focus on educating the youth and the couple’s children are a shining example of this commitment.
