Managing Director Trishul Mandana and Doctor Sabita Uthaya were born in India, met in England and have lived mostly between the food and culture of London and the lakes and mountains of Zurich.
It was in Cape Town, South Africa that they found the best of both worlds. Their passion for South Africa and the Mother City was clear right from the start and their goal was to build a dream retirement home. The design called on architect Greg Wright to deliver an entertainer’s dream and a private, couple’s escape all in one.
The breathtaking architecture and location contributes to the city’s art, design and character. With guests coming to visit from all over the world, they are spreading their love for South Africa.
As a self-confessed foodie, Trishul was in control of the kitchen and the very impressive bar setup! From 150 different gins on offer to a temperature-controlled cellar stocked with 1200 bottles of champagne, there is without a doubt something for everyone to enjoy.
The house was designed to entertain. As much as the top floor is a treat to wake up in and to bath or shower with a panorama view, this busy couple often spend their entire day downstairs. There’s so much to do on this lifestyle level. It’s quickly converted into a party space with a dance floor and DJ if required, or left as is for sundowners.
