International model Ana Kuni share the inspiration behind her Warrior Women painting.
Ana Kuni’s success in international modelling has seen her land worldwide campaigns for brands which are household names. Twelve years ago, her career brought her to the foot of Africa and it was love at first sight. Since then, she has also established herself as a respected artist.
Ana enjoys painting out in public. She can also be found at her canvases after returning late at night from a party but mostly the process happens at her studio typically doing four or five works at once, while the oils on one canvas dry, she’ll be busy with another. As well as murals, canvases and metal, this versatile artist paints her signature subject on one of a kind, pre-ordered denim jackets.
When this Ukrainian painter saw the work of Swedish photographer Linnea Frank, the two women began to explore the idea of a ‘non-competitive, creative sisterhood’. What came of their collaboration are a popular series of works combining watercolour, acrylics, spray paint and photography.
Print making and fashion design are two new fields Ana will soon venture into and you can keep a look out for her latest developments on anakuni.com.
