SABC3’s new comedy-drama Bedford Wives pokes fun at crime kingpins hiding out in the suburbs and we are taking you behind the scenes!
The Bedford Wives is a series based on a book by investigative journalist Mandy Wiener and produced by Rethabile Ramaphakela.
Sharon Wagner plays Dee, whose recently deceased husband leaves her his crime operation. Being a comedy-drama, Bedford Wives called for naturally funny actresses and Annabel Linder steps up to the plate in style as Alecto Gianoppolous, Dee’s mother-in-law.
The story is packed with roles any actress would love to play like Pauline, the supremely nosy neighbour. The show also features our very own Chris Jaftha who plays an henchman called Robbie September.
We were there for filming of the final episode so we know what happens and all we can say it is one episode you do not want to miss!
