The warm welcome that visitors always received at De Oude Kraal estate and spa became official as they renovated a nineteenth century homestead into a guest house and restaurant in the midst of their bustling farm.
If you’re sleeping over to break up a long drive, the local massages, facials and treatments available at De Oude Kraal estate and spa are bliss. The lanolin used in top cosmetic brands is abundant here and is the basis for many treatments at the resident spa.
Although the spa is amazing De Oudekraal’s five course gourmet meals are what they are renowned and awarded for. Unlike a night out in the city, around here, no one’s rushing to get somewhere else.
Co-owner Marie Lombard regularly hosts wine pairing events with a menu that combines traditional Free State recipes with a little French flair and always a good story.
