Top Billing hits the waves with Jack Parow
Jack Parow toasts his new album Afrika For Beginners, with a lekker, leopard print bodyboard and a slimming braai with chef Zola Nene
We caught up with Zander Tyler aka Jack Parow on his triumphant return from hosting Parow-Fest his own sold-out festival in Holland. He’s released his own braai sauce, a memoir, comic books, most recently a brandy but among his proudest achievements is the custom board created with Marc Rossouw and Michael Ostler.
One constant in Zander’s life has been a passion for bodyboarding so we hit the waves to test out his epic new custom board.
Before success and a house in City Bowl, he began rapping with crews from the Cape Flats while studying to be a mechanic and packing fish at the harbour.
To celebrate all he has achieved in the last year we invited celebrity chef of the Expresso Show, Zola Nene, to prepare a braai for his friends.
With excellent production, the new album is a return to the lighter side of Jack Parow and it’s lekker to have him back!
