Roxy is in Paris where we had the privilege of meeting members of the St Petersburg Ballet hard at work practicing the world's most famous ballet - Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake
There is nothing quite like the internationally acclaimed St Petersburg Ballet Theatre. Roxy finds this out first hand when she goes behind the scenes in Paris at one of their renditions of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. With twenty years in the business of excellent ballet, this prestigious company is well versed in putting on productions that are both a breathtaking cultural experience and an unforgettable entertaining evening. We meet the founder Konstantin Tachkin, who started the company in 1993 with the purpose of delivering classical Russian ballet to audiences worldwide.
Roxy tries her toes at keeping up with some of the best ballerinas in the world and the company's Prima Ballerina Irina Kolesnikova tells about her experiencing playing the white swan and the black swan in Swan Lake. We also head backstage to get a closer look at the renowned costumes.
