DBN NYTS are a five piece Kwaito fusion band who put together a very distinct sound down in KZN. Feeling that Joburg was the place where they needed to be heard, they relocated, DJ Oskido discovered them and their style of House went through the roof.
These guys have never stopped dreaming big. At school they formed a dance group famous for the Shilolo dance, started a DBN NYTS clothing line and after matric, recorded their first EP. When they decided to move to Jozi they went from having no money to pay the rent, and being on the verge of giving up, to hitting number one on the SA Charts, the African Top Ten and they’re nominated for best Kwaito album at this year’s SAMAs. Growing up - the band encouraged each other. They took on the struggle of making it in music to follow their passion. Feedback was taken as positive food for thought and any advice only made them stronger. We can’t wait to hear more from DBN NYTS!
