They say that style is a way to express who you are without having to say it out loud, and no one is more fluent in that language than the stars nominated for this year’s SA Style Awards.
This year’s event in Hyde Park marks the 20th anniversary of the awards dedicated to finding SA’s trendsetters - those who do it their way while remaining style icons. This week we find out what these creative people are doing and how they express themselves through style.
But what is style? The consensus was that you can have looks, talent or success but true style is wearing what you have with grace, humour and a smile.
With winners including Basetsana Kumalo, Ryk Neethling, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and arguably the most talked, tweeted and posted about leading lady of South African style Bonang Matheba, you can be assured that Top Billing this week is going to be one fashionable affair.
