In 2013, Iain was placed 39th in the APB World Tour. A year later he was in 20th position.
The son of two athletes, he is hard-wired to persevere and so he did, cracking the top 5 and now – standing at the pinnacle of his sport and a hero to young body boarders wherever the surf’s up.

Sports psychology and training ‘out’ of the ocean plays a huge part. Since moving to the Cape and finding trainer and biokineticist, Philip Nel, Iain’s mental and physical conditioning have made the difference - along with having the best surf-spots in his back yard.
Bodyboarders win events well into their 40s so here’s to a prosperous career and an almost endless Summer for our home-grown hero.
