Wedding: Venda Princess and her Xhosa Beau
We head to Polokwane for a cultural spectacular, as two African cultures unite in love and celebration.
One, a princess from her native Venda, the other, the son of a successful entrepreneur with a promising future of his own. Top Billing were privileged to be a part of the joyous occasion. We invite you to come along to experience this joyful union of this beautiful couple and their proud heritage.
More about the wedding: It was a white wedding on the 5 December 2011. The theme of the wedding was more of a trip down memory lane of how the couple met. They met in Cape Town, the wedding cake was a theme cake of how two different cultures meet: Xhosa (The Groom) and Venda (The Bride) and how they fell in love and where they fell in love, so you can expect a little bit of the Table mountain on the cake and a symbol of the two cultures.
There are two kinds of décor: for the parents' table they went with the african table where there were centre pieces that represent african culture. The rest of the tables had a seaside decor that represented Cape Town, with a fish swimming in one bowl that was centre piece per table.
The venue was the Ranch Hotel where you can find the King of the African Jungle, the Lions.
The reception with all the décor was at the Fusion Boutique Hotel which is the only 5 star hotel in Polokwane. VIP Guests included former Minister Bridget Mabandla, Buyelwa Sonjica
