We get a front-row seat to the beautiful and heartwarming wedding of Wisani and Mbowa, two medical doctors from Polokwane.
More about the couple: They both have a motivating passion for their community and country.
In addition to being a respectful general practitioner, taking care of the people around him, Mbowa runs a live medical show on SABC Phalaphala FM on Wednesday mornings, and assists Capricorn FM in giving out blankets to child headed households during the winter months. Wisani’s passion is for mental health, and she is currently specializing in Psychiatry at Mankweng Hospital.
The couple met at medical school in 2003 – Mbowa was in his third year and Wisani in her first. They fell in love immediately – he, captivated by her eyes, and she with his smile. Their first date was on a beach in KZN and it was here that Mbowa realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Wisani. His wedding proposal happened at the Ushaka Marine Cargo Hold Restaurant – while dining amongst the sharks. She said yes.
In 2008 Mbowa completed paying lobola and was married to Wisani. They now live in Polokwane with their two daughter’s Kayla and Aurora, in their dream house
