Since the first event that was held at The All England Lawn Tennis Club in 1877 were around 200 spectators paid one shilling each to watch the final Wimbledon, now in it's 125 year draws crowds of 475,812 and an estimated 2 Billion people watch it on television around the world.
This year sees South Africa's Kevin Anderson, Wesley Moodie, Chantelle Scheepers and Natalie Grandin take on the best in the world. Top Billing were lucky enough to chat to SA's number one, Kevin Anderson, former player and coach David Lloyd and a few of the locals to find out what they think makes both the event and the town hold such a special place is so many peoples' hearts around the world.
