Our adventures in Cyprus continue as we explore the island country’s capital city of Nicosia whose rich diversity and fascinating history make it a favourite with travellers across to world who come to see the world’s last divided city. We travel to the quaint village of Troodos where the nearby mountains, friendly people and enduring cultural practices, like producing hand-made lace, take Dhiveja’s breath away. We meet some South African expats who say they miss home but admit that the beautiful weather and long summers, coupled with crime-free island life make it hard to stay away.
