Cyprus - The Island of Love

Dhiveja takes in the island of love - Aphrodite’s’ very own birthplace - Cyprus. Here history, myth and fantasy weave a picturesque pattern for visitors and locals alike. The Roman mosaic tiles - the remains from the homes of Roman commanders from biblical times - are perhaps the best preserved in the world and a world heritage site. From the hills to the harbour, we stop for drinks at the old tavernas whilst fishing boats and glass-bottomed boats come and go on the pier. Dhiveja gets a glimpse of the local turtles before indulging in a bit of shopping. We stayed at the Leptos Coral Beach Hotel & Resort where we enjoy some of the most spectacular panoramic views of the island and the sea. Dhiveja also gets a taste of the Greek culture Cyprus is famous for, when together with Chef Michelis Kissoris, she make a traditional meze.
