But what makes a Taste Master? And what does it take to be a Taste Master? We have met up with Joburg’s Vusi Kunene - founder of the first black owned Sushi bar “Blackanese”. The search for The Taste Master brought us to Maboneng. Through determination and ambition former car guard Vusi Kunene became a Taste Master. After opening Blackanese, the Rooftop BBQ in trendy Maboneng is his latest success.
Vusi’s crew included jazz singer, actress and private chef Lucia Mthiyane, host of SudayswithGwej, Themba Gwejela and Stella Artois’ Beatrice Marfleet.
