Lorna meets Hollywood stars Amber Heard and Jason Momoa

Top Billing meets the stars of the new superhero blockbuster Aquaman

Imagine being caught between two worlds – those of land and sea. This is the predicament of Aquaman, the central character in DC Comics’ splashiest new action movie, and Lorna attended the preview in London. 

Jason Momoa plays this DC Comics hero, the son of a lighthouse keeper and Princess from Atlantis, who returns to the fabled underwater kingdom to stop its war with the surface world.

Having worked on the film following the success of his performance as Aquaman in Justice League, Momoa put in an incredible amount of physical training and mental preparation to give the character his own origin story.

The film immerses the audience in a rich, computer generated underwater world but the highly acrobatic action is all real. Momoa was an all action warrior in his break-out role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones – and the workout continues in Aquaman.

Amber Heard’s Mera is a warrior, groomed to be queen of Atlantis but who opposes a war on the surface world and joins Aquaman. Heard took the role after realising women and young girl's needed a role model like the warrior Mera, who is no damsel in distress!

Patrick Wilson plays Orm, half-brother to Aquaman and a ruler of Atlantis, driving what he sees as a righteous war.

Comic book fan or not, Aquaman might just be the coolest film in a long, hot summer!
