Top Billing attends the beautiful wedding of Madoda Hlophe and Relebogile Lelale

This week we bring you the wedding of a Joburg couple who could think of no place they’d rather say their vows than in the city which brought them together. Madoda Hlophe and Relebogile Lelale are high-flying citizens of the world - whose hearts belong to Jozi.

 
 
Madoda and Rele often jog past their stunning Hyde Park wedding venue. They met on a day Rele had been at Fashion Week in Melrose - and Madoda watching rugby in Rosebank.

With such an incredible city as their playground, the two of them live, work and play between Melrose, Sandton and Rosebank – so there was always a fair chance they’d bump into one another.

The couple met in 2014 while Rele was out for dinner with friends. When Madoda asked for her phone number she refused but after dancing together to a John Legend song sparks flew and the rest is history!

After dating for six months lobola negotiations began and they were traditionally wed in 2017.

The bride grew up with three brothers and a father, Mr. Knight Lelala, who she adores, so the bar was set high for any suitors. Luckily for her, Modada fits in easily with his charming personality and great sense of humour.

As for the groom, he considers himself blessed to have met a woman of such tenacity, and who plans to enrol in a PhD in Leadership. It also doesn’t hurt that she is an awesome cook, and shares his passion for architecture and property.

Anyone who knows the couple knew the wedding was going to be incredible. Rele was married in a long sleeve lace number, and then changed to a diamante mermaid style number for dancing, before changing again into a dusty pink number.

With friends and family on hand to enjoy their stunning reception, the event was a huge success for all.

As for what’s next for the couple, they are looking forward to their yearly down-time in Thailand, Rele is studying and Madoda is growing his company. Despite their incredibly busy careers, the couple are also looking forward to expanding their family.
