Top Billing catches up with the baddest boss in the cake-baking business, Buddy Valastro.
Live and in person, or screened to a hundred and sixty countries via his Cake Boss television show, this Italian-American fourth generation baker is instantly likeable. He’s the son of a Sicilian father, Buddy senior, who arrived in America without a cent to his name and toiled to buy Carlos Bakery. When his father passed on, Buddy dropped out of school, took over the business with his sisters, and when TV came calling the script was already written.
Having found his dream job at the young age of 14, it's comforting to know that Buddy is just as passionate about his trade, and cakes, as ever.
