Nutty Christmas cake bars
Take the repetition out of tradition and serve this festive favourite differently this year. Or you can turn leftovers into scene-stealers.

125g butter 1 cup sugar 1 tin condensed milk 1 cup oats 1 cup desiccated coconut 1 cup raisins or cranberries 1 cup Rice Crispies 1 cup Christmas cake crumbs 125ml melted chocolate
Slowly heat the butter, sugar and condensed milk until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Add oats, coconut, raisins or cranberries, muesli, Rice Crispies and Christmas cake crumbs. Mix well and press into a buttered 20x30cm baking tray and leave to cool. Cut into bars. Drizzle with the melted chocolate and enjoy!
