We catch up with actress, singer and entrepreneur Boity Thulo ahead of her new fashion line release.
For Boity Thulo when it comes to leading, she sets the pace and other women follow. This actress, entrepreneur and household presenter has raised funds to provide lunches for vulnerable school children, is an ambassador for a charity that helps girls who grow up in tough economic environments and most recently she’s taken to ensuring that young women can protect themselves from the throngs of crime.
Boity Thulo is the master of her very own pop-up martial arts collective - “Shemurai” which she will be launching along with Sensei Giorgie Bhunu this September. Self-defence for women is not about going blow-for-blow with a male aggressor. It's about empowering yourself as a woman with skills that could buy you those extra few seconds that could save your life” as was the caption of a promotional video that Boity shares on her social channels.
Her classes teach defenders how to utilise techniques for overcoming brute strength.
This actress, presenter & martial artist won’t stop there though. She’s been extremely busy of late and is also launching her very own line of bespoke jumpsuits & jackets.
Ms Thulo has been involved from concept to the finished products which will launch in three capsule collections starting now and ending in December. Nizbert Fuzane’s legendary special events venue “Randlords” is to be included in the marketing for this line.
The Thulo style is more about wearing what you feel and look good in. If Boity still looks amazing in a look from two seasons ago, she’ll take that over an untried new trend, any day.
What makes this collection’s stand out qualities and truly Boity are it’s approach to comfortability, with a touch of fun, sexy and colour!
Not only has Boity conquered acting, presenting, martial arts and fashion but recently the beloved personality released her first single “Wuz Dat”, causing Twitter to go haywire. It was her mother Modiehi Thulo who expected nothing from her presenter, actress and entrepreneur of a child.
