The thrilling history of South African cricket post-isolation has been inseparable from that of one of the greats, Gary Kirsten. Now a new book ‘Chai Tea and Ginger Beer’ by Gary’s wife Debbie Kirsten gives her perspective on these golden years, their time in India and what family life is like in the cauldron of world cricket. Debbie, a Masters graduate in Education, chose a flexible journalism career so she could travel with Gary. Jeannie D finds out their epic adventures make for a real page-turner.
