Following an incredible journey through London and Scotland, Lorna’s return to South Africa was met by a city in the midst summer – and ready to get festive.

Following an incredible journey through London and Scotland, Lorna’s return to South Africa was met by a city in the midst summer – and ready to get festive.

After travels to the home of Tanqueray, helping to distil some No. 10, and witnessing the vibrant culture of Britain’s finest gin bars, Lorna was ready to share the experience, and celebrities like K Naomi, Mbali Nkosi, Reggie Mthembu, Steve Steinfeld and our own Ayanda Thabethe and Jade Hubner were on hand to celebrate at the stunning Four Seasons!

Lorna was also able to reflect on the amazing journey from the archives in London to the distillery in Cameron Bridge, and the incredible stops in between. Joining her were her travel partners Ivan Johnson and Kyle Lesch, along with mixologist Travis Kuhn who was present for our first incredible Tanqueray stop at the 12 Apostles in Cape Town.

Travis did what he did best, and after everyone got to enjoy a delicious taste of Tanqueray, he taught them all the fundamentals of the perfect gin cocktail.

Naturally, everyone wanted to create their own new Tanqueray classic, and Lorna’s guests got not only creative but highly competitive.

Judges Maseko, Kuhn and Mthembu were impressed by all but kept coming back to one creation, and Mbali Nkosi took the prize!

The only question remaining this summer is how you take your Tanqueray?
