Steven Kitshoff ties the knot on Top Billing

Springbok prop Steven Kitshoff has an impressive athletic career to boast about after years of hard work, and his partner Aimee Steenkamp has been by his side the entire time.

The couple have had an incredible seven years of dating before choosing to tie the knot, and even moved to France for two years while Steven played for Bordeaux.

 It was during one of the chilly European winters that the coupe chose to visit Dubai, and while they were enjoying a desert safari Steven got down on one knee and popped the question.

The engagement was not at all surprising to anyone who knew the couple, who describe themselves as best friends.
Their wedding was a beautiful affair, and instead of opting for traditional décor, Aimee wanted a beautiful, whimsical look for her big day.

Cue 1,500 beautiful origami birds and billowing balloon clouds hanging from the ceiling, making the day extra magical.

The bride looked stunning in a sleeveless gown while the groom wore navy and their bridesmaids and groomsmen wore chic black.

Their chosen art-deco wedding cake had layers red velvet and vanilla, the couple’s favourite flavours.  

While the Kitshoff and Steenkamp families were naturally in attendance, Aimee and Steven’s rugby families (from the Springboks, Bordeaux and Western Province) were also all on hand to help the couple celebrate their amazing day.
