Top Billing steps into a glamorous KZN home
This week’s location is a Cape to Cairo tribute to Africa, by a team of South African and Egyptian designers who have built a masterpiece, right on the Dolphin Coast.
Outside, this house keeps with the feel of the estate but inside it’s the culmination of an eighteen year collaboration between interior designer Kerry Plagis and her inspiration of Egyptian craftsmanship. It’s a style that struck a chord with home owner Jenny Tucker.
Head designer Roxanne Mann has had a passion of designing since the age of thirteen, and has brought this passion through in the design of the interior. A combination of natural light, warmth and textures gives each room a signature style. What also adds to the uniqueness of each room are the individual pieces – each piece in the house has been custom designed with the room in mind, and finished off in German silver.
All about simple forms with big gestures, this coming together of local talent is a luxurious and effortless design in the flowing, sup-tropical and feminine landscape of the Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast.
