Ursula joins American author Jodi Picoult on safari in Botswana to discuss her new book Leaving Time and how to get an ethical message across in the form of a fictional best-seller.
American author Jodi Picoult’s new book, Leaving Time, features the remarkable subject of how elephants mourn. With twenty-three novels to her name, Picoult researched her new book just North of our borders at the Mashatu Game Reserve. Fast paced and often controversial, her last eight novels debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list.
With nature's best as our backdrop, Ursula meets Jodi and her daughter Samantha Van Leer to talk about Jodi's latest novel and the special place elephants hold in her heart. Given the poaching crisis elephants face, her novel could not have come at a better time.
