Top Billing tours a dream aprtment in Green Point
Designed around an epic, double-volume library, this beautiful Green Point apartment is an elegant sea of calm in the centre of a buzzing city.

Architect Jürgen Kieslich designed this villa on top of a French-styled hotel for his own parents, who can now spend their twilight years in a bibliophile’s paradise!

Building in a hotel had a few unique challenges, like transporting material after hours and using water-cutters used instead of jack hammers, to keep the peace. The results were worth it though, and the greatest compliment was when a hotel guest wandered in thinking that the home was their suite!

Jürgen, along with interior designer Etienne Hanekom, managed to stay in line with the building’s largely French style, while still giving it a few contemporary twists, including some striking wallpapers throughout the home.

In terms of colour scheme, Etienne was influenced by the nearby ocean and green park, leading to a subtle and muted colour palette to reflect the natural surroundings.

Another nod to nature is the incredible rooftop terrace and garden, perfect for enjoying the Mother City’s iconic sunsets! Tune in this Saturday for the full tour!
